RJIL launches its Wi-Fi service Jionet in Himachal Pradesh

Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL) has launched its Wi-Fi service, Jionet, in Himachal Pradesh. The service will cover Macleo Chowk and Temple road in Mcleodganj and Kotwali in Dharamshala.
The move is also a part of the state government’s initiative to convert Dharamshala into a smart city.
The feedback from the users will be used to improve the operator’s services which are expected to be commercially launched in December 2015. According to the operator, after the formal launch of its services, 4G long term evolution (LTE) and Wi-Fi networks will operate seamlessly with each other.
